Civil Rights and Field Trip

We had a great Civil Rights unit.  Students asked very deep questions.  They thought about equality and the ideas behind segregation.

We got to see some great animals on our field trip.  This silly teacher forgot to get a group shot, though.  I was distracted by the rain.

Camping in the Classroom

We spent the day before spring break "Camping".  Students visited seven different campsites.  Students event had clipboards and name badges.  Some campsites involved reading and some had math activities.  We also made fire-less s'mores and wrote about our day.  It was a lot of fun!

March Highlights

We made "cootie catchers" to practice parts of speech.

We practiced some adding, logic and spatial skills with tangram pieces.

We used dominoes to graph information and practice adding quickly.

We used Starburst to make the three different types of rocks.

And best of all -- we got book boxes from Donors Choose!!
